Let's check out the ingredients:
Add chili oil to a stockpot or Dutch oven on medium heat
I'm using my mom's homemade chili crisp here
Sauté onion, tomato paste, and garlic until aromatic and onions are slightly softened, just a few minutes.
Pour in the water, followed by sugar, black pepper, MSG, and salt. Cover and turn the heat up to high to bring to a boil.
Stir in the stinky tofu, leafy greens, and corn. Simmer for 5 minutes or until vegetables are cooked to your liking.
Turn off the heat and keep covered for another 5 minutes. The vegetables will finish cooking in the residual heat (leave it on the hob for longer if you'd like softer vegetables).
Top with scallion, cilantro, and sesame oil just before serving.
Serve piping hot!
